PostHeaderIcon Spiritual Growth Through Meditation - 4 Simple Steps

One aspect of meditation is to slow down your thoughts enough to "see" your thoughts. Being able to see your thoughts will give you the ability to change your life through the concept of the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction follows a simple physical principle that is applied in nutrition. That principle is "you are what you eat". Applied to the Law of Attraction the principle becomes "you are what you think". Think wonderful thoughts and wonderful events will come into your life. Think that everybody is horrible then you will only see the horrible parts of life.

Meditation is the method used to see your thoughts. Since meditation is not easy I have listed 4 simple steps to help you move through the process.

Proper Posture - On the one hand meditation can be done in any position. But there are certain things that happen during meditation that are enhanced by proper posture. The first thing to consider is staying awake. Since you are producing a state of extreme relaxation the most likely outcome, from a rushed and hectic life, is to fall asleep. But with that aside meditation will let energy (chi) flow through your body. The energy follows certain paths and a seated upright position is the most enabling for this energy flow.

Proper Breathing - Another reason for proper posture is that many meditation methods have a breathing component. Not only is there breath control involved but there are certain visualization that go along with the breath. The most common visualization is that on the inhale through the nose to see the breath come in through the nose, travel up over the head, down the back and up the front of the body to the stomach area. On the exhale to see the breath rise up from the stomach area up the chest and out of the nose.

PostHeaderIcon Guided Meditation - Confidence

Lie down and begin to relax. Think of your feet. Flex toes and feet for a moment and then let them droop. Let the lethargy move slowly up to your ankles, up your calves to your knees, into your thighs. Your muscles are relaxing completely. Let the feeling continue up through your hips. You are becoming quite limp. And on up through your abdomen, along each vertebra of the spine one at a time. Feel your shoulders suddenly lose all resistence and release them to sag against your support. The relaxing wave moves down your arms through your biceps and forearms, into your wrists and hands that have sunk down, completely relaxed and unmoving. The base of your neck has let go and is limp. All the tension in your jaw and mouth is gone and now it is slack. All your facial muscles have let go entirely and your eyes have rolled to wherever they wish to go. The base of your head, your scalp, your brow, are now rested and peaceful.

Picture yourself going through the rest of your day confidently and at ease. You are standing tall, keeping good posture, breathing deeply, getting things done. You are relaxed and limber, but strong. You glide through your chosen tasks, working smoothly and efficiently. You are able to make decisions easily and act without hesitation. You are able to deal with any obstruction easily, and by adjusting quickly, you stay on track. You are focused on your goals knowing you will be successful. You have the energy to follow through every goal to it’s best outcome. The idea of not having success, does not occur to you.

You greet people with a natural, compelling smile and a direct gaze. You speak and act confidently with them. You know that they will like and respect you. Your handshake is strong. You are direct and speak as if the good things you have planned will definitely happen. You know that it will be good for them to know you.

Weight control is about taking responsibility for your self and is a serious issue which should be considered carefully. It is also about controlling a range of weight-related events such as: food shopping, cooking, dining out habits, exercise and lifestyle.

The Diet Part of Weight Loss

Among all the weight control methods, the most effective technique is dieting. Although, dieting alone is rarely successful because the relapse rate is high, if you succeed in finding the right diet for your body, you can begin to have greater control over your weight.

In general, making a commitment to a weight control method which takes you though a slow regiment of weight loss, is commonly considered the best practice. This type of relaxed process will be an important step towards helping you gain control over your weight while still enjoying good health.
